F&Q

Q1  I do not speak Cantonese (Mandarin). Can I still learn?

Our club will provide English instruction. Japanese and Mandarin instructions are also available.

Q2  What should I prepare for the lesson?

Sportswear, athletic shoes, water, and a towel. There is a restroom so you can change your clothes. Unlike Japanese martial arts, we practice with shoes on.

Q3  Is it suitable for women who have never studied martial arts?

No problem. The founder of Wing Chun is a woman, and the system of Wing Chun is designed to deal with large and strong opponents. We have female practitioners.

Q4  If I am late for a lesson due to overtime work, etc.?

As a rule, we expect students to be punctual, but if you run late due to unavoidable circumstances, you are still welcome to attend the lesson.

Q5  Is there an age limit?

All ages are welcome to join. Wing Chun is not only a martial art, but the basic practice also has excellent health benefits. Ideally, children should be in junior high school or older (consultation is possible), and some members are over 60.

Q6  I want to continue learning after my introductory period. What should I do?

You can transfer to the General Course and continue your studies.

Q7  Can I take a trial lesson?

We offer a free trial lesson (60 minutes). Please get in touch with us for more information.

Q8  Should I take off a ring or necklace?

Please remove them. You may hurt not only yourself but also your training partner.
